M’Khamsa

M’Khamsa or the hand of Fatima is a symbol used all over the Middle East and North Africa for healing and protection.  Traditionally, it was used to ward off the evil eye.  Recently it has become a universal symbol of protection, wholesomeness and healing.  Mustapha believes the M’Khamsa, is the perfect metaphor for what Avicenna preached.  Food should nourish the body, restore and heal it...ultimately protecting it.
